10 Tips for Your Perfect Summer Vacation

As we are entering the summer season, I decided to share with you some tips that will help you experience the perfect vacation. After all, most of us wait for the summer to come, so that we can enjoy the warmth, hot sand, and bright blue water. Without further delay, let’s jump to the tips:

  • Be careful when choosing travel dates, especially around holidays. People are often tempted to add a day or two to make their vacations longer around holidays, but airlines are completely aware of that and tend to raise fees to take advantage of this way of thinking. Thus, make sure to compare prices for several different travel dates to find the best offer out there.
  • You definitely need to find a cheap flight. Here are 2 ways to do that:
  • Avoid the summer peak. Fly before mid-June or after late August.
  • Flying is cheaper at some days of the week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday).
  • Use an electric personal transportation device. This way you will be able to easily move from point A to point B, avoiding traffic congestions. Here are some options you could consider: electric scooter, electric bicycle, or foldable electric skateboard. The last one is my personal favorite. Here is why:
  • High range – it varies between 6 and 12 miles.
  • Top speed – 22 mph.
  • You could easily fold it and put it in your back.
  • It is fun to drive.

Using one of those will save you money (from taxis and buses) and will give you the opportunity to enjoy your vacation even more. A good example of such electric skateboard is Linky Innovation. If you want to check their website click here.

  • Take pictures of your ID, passport, or any other important document you have with you, in case the originals get lost. Also, it is a good idea to take a shot of your bag. A picture of it will be extremely helpful if it goes missing. Another idea – mark your phone, so that if you lose it, you can find it easily.
  • Don’t take valuables with you. Instead, leave them at home. This way you will avoid the risk of losing them, or even somebody stealing them. Here are some tips to keep your valuables safe:
  • Don’t put your purse on a place, where you can’t watch it all the time.
  • Don’t leave your phone unattended.
  • Put your wallet in front pockets, not in the back.
  • It is cheaper to fly to bigger airports. So why don’t you combine both flying and driving? You could fly to some big airport, then drive to your particular destination.
  • Pay attention to all the warnings. Keep an eye on weather forecasts, information about criminal or terror activity, and disease outbreaks, so that you can take precautions.
  • Don’t forget to pack some vitamins and stay hydrated. It is important, especially in the summer heat.
  • Don’t post your travel plans on social media. Thieves are everywhere and they will be happy to know that you are away.
  • Taking new clothes and shoes that you have never worn is a big mistake. They may be uncomfortable and cause you potential problems.
