Set in the beautiful Cascade mountain range, it is surrounded by thousands of acres of old growth forest.

Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon is a sensational place to visit on your trip out West. The canyon was carved by the Colorado River and stretches one mile deep into the ground. It’s gorgeous red colors make it a truly beautiful geological spectacle. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, you can take a donkey ride into the canyon.

Big Sur

Big Sur State Park in southern California is a paradise. Sitting at the foot of the Santa Lucia Mountains, it is an oceanfront park that looks like it was taken out of Greek myth. Joshua Tree National Park

If you really want to see something wild, go to Joshua Tree located outside of Palm Springs, California. This unique forest sits in the middle of the desert. It’s filled with rocky formations that are great for climbing. The trees look like something out of a Dr. Seuss book and cover the entire valley. If you’re going in the summer, bring lots of water with you as temperatures can be extreme.
